I’ve been drawing since I was four so I always knew I was going to be an artist or an illustrator but I just wasn’t sure what kind of artist I wanted to be.  I loved creating comic strips or drawing the characters from the television, Scooby Doo or Skeletor!  I used to love the artwork on the covers of LP’s especially Eddie from the Iron Maiden albums!
I never thought I was going to do anything else so luckily it has become a reality for me!  After high school I went to the Advertising Academy in Brisbane which focused on old school typography and early Photoshop skills and also traditional illustration using pens and markers.
That led me to work in print publications, tabloid style newspapers and advertising agencies across Australia.  I kept doing that for about 10 years but I realised it wasn’t what I wanted to do.  I don’t get the joy from graphic design that I get when I am creating traditional art!  I needed to focus my art in the right direction.
After that I went to Queensland College of Art which is at Griffith University and completed a 3 year Bachelor of Animation where I specialised in 2D traditional animation and worked in the animation industry for 5 years work on television commericials and online animated kid shows.
